We built Naimo to make quick, frictionless communication possible — whether you are exchanging messages, sharing media, or collaborating in real time. This Privacy Policy explains in full detail how Naimo (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Naimo application (the “App”) on any supported platform.

Please read this policy carefully. By downloading, installing, registering, or using Naimo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App immediately.

This policy applies globally. Where jurisdiction-specific rights apply — such as GDPR, CCPA, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) — additional rights are described below.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Registration Data

  • Full name or display name

  • Phone number (primary identifier)

  • Profile photograph or avatar

  • Username or handle

  • Date of birth

  • Password (stored in hashed form)

Communication Content

  • Text messages (including group and broadcast)

  • Voice messages and audio recordings

  • Images, videos, GIFs, stickers, documents

  • Emojis, reactions, and status updates

  • Disappearing messages (temporary)

  • Polls, links, and shared location

User-Generated Content

  • Status updates and stories

  • Profile bio and links

  • Custom stickers or avatars

Support and Feedback

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Device and Technical Information

  • Device type, model, OS version

  • Unique identifiers (UDID, IMEI, advertising ID)

  • App version and install source

  • Network type, IP address, carrier

  • Language preferences

  • Battery and memory status

Usage Data

  • Features used and frequency

  • Session duration

  • Message activity (metadata only)

  • Searches within the app

  • Notification interactions

  • Purchase history

Log Data

  • Login timestamps

Location Data

3. Encryption and Security

End-to-End Encryption

Messages are encrypted and readable only by intended recipients.

Transport Security

Data is encrypted using TLS.

Storage Security

Data is encrypted using AES-256.

Key Management

Keys are generated on-device and regularly rotated.


4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data.

Shared With:

  • Other users (profile info, status)

  • Service providers (hosting, notifications, analytics)

  • Legal authorities when required

  • During mergers or acquisitions

  • With user consent


5. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: retained during use + 90 days

  • Deleted accounts: removed within 90 days

  • Messages: stored temporarily (max 30 days server-side)

  • Logs: retained for security and analytics


6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

7. Children’s Privacy

Naimo is not intended for users under 13 (or 16 in some regions).
Accounts violating this will be removed.

Camera and Media Handling

Camera Permission

Naimo requests access to your device camera (android.permission.CAMERA) to enable core features of the application, including:

  • Capturing and uploading inventory images

  • Setting or updating your profile picture

  • Taking photos directly within the app for sharing

The camera is accessed only when you explicitly choose to use these features. Naimo does not access your camera in the background or without your knowledge.


Image Upload and Cloud Storage

When you capture or upload images within the app, those images may be securely transmitted to and stored using third-party cloud media services such as Cloudinary.

These services are used for:

  • Secure storage of images

  • Image optimization (resizing, compression, formatting)

  • Fast and reliable media delivery

By uploading an image, you acknowledge that the image will be processed and stored on secure external servers managed by these service providers.


Data Protection and Control

  • Images are only uploaded when you take an explicit action (e.g., capturing or selecting an image)

  • We do not access, upload, or share images without your interaction

  • Uploaded images are only accessible based on your actions within the app (such as sharing with other users)

  • We do not sell your images or use them for purposes unrelated to the app’s functionality

All third-party providers used for media handling are contractually required to protect your data and process it only on our behalf.
